Language Enrichment Reading Practices Year 1 (Digital Edition)
Language Enrichment is a structured literacy curriculum that enables teachers to teach successful decoding for students in grades 1–3. Participants learn how and why structured literacy instruction helps students become skilled readers. The coursework covers decoding and encoding concepts including reliable reading and spelling patterns; building fluency and accuracy in reading connected text; building oral language and world knowledge; developing listening and reading comprehension strategies; and implementing a daily 30-minute lesson plan.
The digital edition of the reading practices for Language Enrichment Year 1 includes phonological exercises, word lists, sentences, and one-page readers. The word lists and sentences provide practice of newly introduced and previously taught reading concepts.
