Characteristics Of Dyslexia

A one-page family-friendly reference outlining the most common characteristics of dyslexia. The handout groups the indicators into three categories — Difficulty with Oral Language (late talking, word retrieval, following directions, learning the alphabet and rhymes), Difficulty with Reading (phonological and phonemic awareness gaps, letter-sound learning, slow oral reading, weak comprehension), and Difficulty with Written Language (trouble putting ideas on paper, persistent spelling errors, weak proofreading).
