En Preparación para la lectura, los participantes aprenden: 1) las habilidades fundamentales que son necesarias para convertirse en lectores fluidos y ortográficos precisos; 2) actividades prácticas y multisensoriales para enseñar y reforzar estas habilidades; 3) estrategias para construir el reconocimiento instantáneo de palabras con pronunciaciones confiables e inesperadas; y 4) la importancia de la instrucción manuscrita explícita y sistemática para la ortografía y la escritura.
