Identify Reading Issues
The goal of reading instruction is for students to understand what has been read. This ultimate goal is a composite of multiple skills that must be in place and fluent enough that readers can use their cognitive resources for thinking about what they read.
Weaknesses or disorders can exist in the areas of language and/or language comprehension, phonological skills, written expression or spelling, or processes like attention that disrupt fluent reading and cause problems with understanding.
Our mission at Neuhaus Education Center is to equip all teachers with evidence-based knowledge that will enable them to teach all students to read, even students who struggle.
